Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Waterproof Mascara Review

£7.99 in Boots, click here
That’s a name and a half? The Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Waterproof Mascara ranks in at #3 of my all-time favourite mascaras, but a safe #1 in terms of drugstore mascaras. (In case you’re wondering my favourites are Benefit:They’re Real & Bobbi Brown: Long Lasting Mascara) I cannot speak highly enough of this mascara. And it’s less than £10?

So first of all, it separates your lashes like nothing else, I’m yet to find a mascara that can do this so well. It gives the impression of fuller looking lashes without the clumping ‘spikes’ look. It reminds me of the Benefit: They’re Real mascara, so if you are after the drugstore version, I would highly recommend it, at half the price and to be honest, it’s just as good!

Now onto the real test, is it actually waterproof? The answer is yes, it doesn’t budge at all! Even in the shower, it struggled to move- so although this is great for holidays, or somewhere you’ll be getting wet and regular mascara would have run, (like watching ‘The Fault in our Stars’ maybe?) you need to remember to take it off using some strong makeup remover which will get rid of waterproof mascara- Clinique do a great one,but a little pricey.

So really, I love this mascara, it stays on all day, does not budge, even when I’m in and out the pool or watching sad movies. Just remember to take it off properly or you’ll have major panda eyes the next morning! That’s about it really, have you ever tried this mascara? Or any of the other Maybelline ones, I want to try another but I’m not sure which, if you have a recommendation let me know!
